Holland Law Firm Payment of Punitive Damages to the State of Missouri Results in Record-Setting Investment in Legal Services to the Poor

MISSOURI, SAINT LOUIS. (June 17, 2022) — As a result of Holland Law Firm’s landmark victory in Ingham, et al., v. Johnson & Johnson, Inc., et al., which resulted in over a $400 million dollar payment to the State of Missouri from the punitive damages collected, over $125 million dollars has been appropriated by the State of Missouri that will directly benefit legal services for the poor in Missouri. These once-in-a-lifetime appropriations will go to various legal services providers throughout the State who provide critical legal services to underserved communities. Holland Law Firm is passionate about both civil and social justice and commends the Missouri Legislature and Governor Parson for directing these funds towards those who need help but often lack access to basic legal services.
